{my home...or so I wish!}

I realize that to some...this home is old news. Yes, true. But, the moment I laid eyes on these pictures :: I had found my perfect, ideal home {with maybe some minor changes, but who really cares!}. Katie Lee Joel {cookbook author and of course wife to Billy Joel} has done an amazing job at decorating their home. I see {me} in every picture. In fact, I think her home looks more like me, than mine does! {Does that mean she's better at being "me"?} Hmm. Either way, I couldn't resist revisting these photos that were featured in Domino. If you've already seen this spread of pics, enjoy again; otherwise, for my family :: now you will know exactly what I'm referring to when I say my {dream} home!

  1. well, we are not alike in this regard...I had checked out her spread a few days ago and while very visually appealing, it just doesn't feel very warm and comfy to me...I am still looking for the pics of my perfect home

  2. sister... {GASP!} Not comfy? I think it looks quite comfy. I love the elegant touches that are laced with "old europe". {SIGH} Well, the good thing, my dear, is that we finally found a difference! lol. You're still my fave older sissy!!! :)

  5. Oh Naphtali I am seeing broken items everywhere! (with the half dozen kids your planning on having...) Maybe you should have 2 houses. All I know is that we can't even keep our coffee cups on the table for more than a split second. :) And I don't see kids toys sprawled out over the floor... you should probably have that designed in somewhere too. :) Oh Naphtali. :)

  11. OMG....I love those long black framed windows in the kitchen. That is me for sure. I love elements of this home, but you know me (I would have to modernize it some...haha). Also, isn't Billy Joel's wife a fantastic cook? Does she have a cook book?

    Off the subject, your comment on my blog was simply hilarious. OMG....I was dying lol! WOW

  13. I haven't seen it before, it's supremely chic and elegant. I like the grey accents and uncluttered spaces.

  14. {Willow} :: Katie Lee Joel does have a cookbook. Though I don't own it, I have looked through many of her recipes and used one. Quite good...and actually very healthy. {Especially for being a southern cook!} You can find her book here :: www.katieleejoel.com {called the comfort table}.
